Q: Who can take Joint Commission Online Courses?

The Joint Commission Online Courses are available to all CCAR Members, HUC-JIR Alumni/ae, faculty and students, and special guests of partner programs like the Kalsman Institute on Judaism and Health, and, with special permission, Rabbis of other movements. If you are not in one of these groups and would like to request special access to a Joint Commission Program, please contact Rabbi Ellen Nemhauser before attempting to register online.

Q. Why did my registration get placed on "hold"?

In order to approve your user account, our registration system checks a database of CCAR members and HUC-JIR Alumni/ae, Faculty and Students. It is possible that the database is incorrect or out of date. Within 2-business days, a member of the Joint Commission team will review your registration information and approve your account or contact you regarding your registration. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Q: I don't remember my password?

Click the red login link at the top-right of the page, just under the Joint Commission Logo. On the Login page, you will find a tool to email yourself your password. Click here to use this tool. If you are still unable to login, please contact us at desupport@huc.edu. Please do not create a new account or reregister as this will not allow you to access your previously purchased courses.

Q. Why do you ask for an Evening Phone number in the registration?

This information is optional, and it is only used to provide technical support when requested. We will not use it for any other purpose or share it with anyone.

Q. Why do you ask for Birthday? HUC-JIR Status? CCAR Status?

We use these fields to automatically approve your registration for the Joint Commission Online. The information is checked against alumni/ae databases for HUC-JIR. This information is only used during the registration process. In addition, certain groups receive discounts for Joint Commission courses - these include HUC-JIR Faculty, HUC-JIR Students, NAORR members, and Small/Non-Congregational Rabbis. The discounts are calculated and applied automatically in your cart.
