Q: What personal information does the Joint Commission Online store? Q: What personal information does the Joint Commission Online store? The Joint Commission Online stores your name, email, billing address, and day phone number. To see the complete list, you can visit: My Profile. This list can be updated by you at any time. We also maintain information about HUC-JIR Status (1st Year Alumni, Current Students, or Alumni) and CCAR Status (NAORRR or Non-Congregational/Small Congregational Rabbi) in order to provide relevant discounts. Q: What do you do with my information (i.e. email, address, name)? We do not share your information with any organizations outside of the HUC-JIR and CCAR family. We collect aggregate data about Joint Commission enrollment and participation which we share with potential donors and board members. Individual user information is not shared in this process. We do contact participants via mail, phone and email for marketing and evaluation of Joint Commission programs. Q: What kind of security features do you have for credit card transactions? When you pay by credit card online, your privacy and security are important to us. The Joint Commission Online LMS uses a process designed for non-profits by a division of Ticketmaster along with what is called a "Secure Socket Layer" (SSL) to encrypt your financial information (the “padlock” indicates the security). As an extra precaution, we do not store your credit card number on our server. We feel this added security is worth the inconvenience of reentering the information. If you have any questions about any aspect of the Joint Commission Online, please contact us at: desupport@huc.edu. Q: Do you store my credit card information? We do not store your credit card number on our servers. While you will have to re-enter the information each time you purchase courses, we feel this small inconvenience is worth the added security. |
